Early pregnancy miscarraige

My husband and I were told last year it would be very unlikely to conceive naturally due to his low sperm count.

We were undergoing tests to prepare for ivf this summer when we fell pregnant naturally. Obviosuly we were elated but cautious so booked a private scan at 7 weeks which unfortunately showed 2 sacs with no contents. Rebooked nhs scan a week later and sacs increased in size but still no contents. We're absolutely devasted but understand it was mens to be this time.

I'm waiting to have a 2nd scan on nhs next week before they will support with any medication/treatment to pass the pregnancy. This will make me almost 10 weeks. I just wish that the pregnancy would pass naturally as we've would have known the pregnancy isn't viable for over 3 weeks, which will be almost as long as we knew about the pregnancy.

Can anyone advise on best course of action - let nature do its thing and let it pass naturally? Take medication to force it on? Or a surgical procedure to get it over quickly? I just want it to be over as I'm still having symptoms of being pregnant which makes it all the harder!

I’m in a similar boat in the sense I’m 99% sure I have the start of a slow miscarriage as baby isn’t growing at correct rate and I have bleeding and cramps however I must wait 11 days between scans before they will confirm I’m miscarrying. I’ve been under EPAU since 4 weeks given my past history and am now 8+3. I can’t cope much longer with this continuing so have decided I will ask for medical intervention if I make it to the next scan without a full miscarriage. I had medical intervention for a previous ectopic and although painful it was over within a matter of days. I keep reading stories about some slow miscarriages taking weeks and I don’t think I can cope with that mentally. Thinking of you x

@Kmottc a week ago a scan finally confirmed that my pregnancy was not viable (it had stopped nearly 5 weeks before). I was given medication there (mifepristone) and misoprostol to take at home the next day. I did not need it as I passed it out that same night, fairly quick and with no (physical) pain. Doctor said that my body was probably getting ready for that (and all my pregnancy symptoms had dissappeared in the last days). A scan the following day confirmed that the miscarriage was complete.
My idea was to get the surgical option, but I had a D&C years ago and she recommended the medical treatment because of the risk of scarring in the womb.
