Incomplete Miscarriage

Hi ladies I’m looking for a bit of advice. I found out on Tuesday that my pregnancy wasn’t viable, it had stopped growing at 5 weeks and I should have been 10 weeks. I was given the three options on how to proceed, natural, medical or surgical and decided to go with surgery but they can’t fit me in until next Friday.

Yesterday I started to bleed and have cramps but it’s not very heavy. I guess it’s like a period, maybe even a light period, but I’ve had some very small cloths. Would this be it starting naturally? I guess I expected it to happen as one big gush rather than slowly over a few days.

Thanks I’m advance to those who respond x

Hi there, I'm so sorry to hear you're going through this too. I was told 5 days ago that my fetus had stopped growing at exactly 7 weeks. I was 8 weeks 3 days at the time. They said to expect a miscarriage in the next week or to arrange a d&c. As luck would have it I started bleeding 4 days later and it culminated in a 3 hr session on the toilet followed by gushing blood but no clots at all. It's been 4 days since then and nothing. Is it all a bit confusing. Do I book in for a d&c which I might not need or is there more to come? Any advice would be so welcome...

Ps My sister and dad are doctors and they are saying that there's every chance that your bleeding might be all you have to go through as the 'products of conception' would be quite small at 5 weeks. Hope this makes it easier for you x

I've never had a big 'gush' with my miscarriages. They all started as a light period and then started getting cramps and it got heavier. There was never any big gushes.
It sounds like it's happening naturally
