Nk cells treatment

Hi everyone

I have received my nk cells test from Coventry and I’ve been told I have high nk cells.

I have been prescribed progesterone and prednisolone. And it said no aspirin before 7 weeks so I assume I can take this after 7 weeks.

I am slightly concerned as I was also expecting the treatment to include injections as well. I’ve heard about Clexane and heparin.

Does anyone have any experience of what the treatment usually is for high nk cells?

TIA

As far as I know prednisolone is the main treatment for high NK cells. I wonder if you are getting a bit confused as aspirin and warfarin are treatments for APS? The two are not the same and not related to each other, APS is another different rare cause of miscarriage

Sorry I've typed the wrong med above - I mean that aspirin, clexane and heparin are treatments for APS

@TheDaydreamBelievers thank you for replying. Ok that makes sense. Is APS the sticky blood? Maybe once I have that blood test I will be given that if it’s required for me.

@XjustagirlX yes APS (antiphospholipid syndrome) is also called sticky blood. They diagnose using 2 blood tests, 12 weeks apart. Depending on your loss history they may or may not check if you have it.
