MMC at 6 weeks: What to expect

Morning ladies
Firstly, I'm so sorry to anyone who finds themselves on this board.
I'm reaching out as just a bit scared of what's to come really. I should now be 10+4 but sadly baby stopped growing at around 6 weeks. I was scanned at EPU Monday and have to go back next Monday for a repeat scan, I guess just to confirm there's no change, which I know there won't be.
I think we will decide to go with medical management so that I can pass the baby at home. It only measured 5.6mm so I'm hoping the hospital won't make me stay in.
I hate to ask this and I'm sorry if it's insensitive, but I wondered if anyone was willing to share their experiences of a loss at 6 weeks? I have big pads ready and paracetamol but I'm pretty scared!
Sending hugs to all x

Hello darling @Coffee4me I'm so truly sorry for what is happening to you, so bloody rough. I was also prescribed codeine and advised I could take paracetamol and ibuprofen alongside it, if the pain got really bad. I won't sugar coat my experience yesterday, it was very painful for me but you do cope and of course, everyone is different. Once all had passed through, the pain began to subside and I managed to get some much needed sleep last night. Thinking of you so very much during this time and just shout if you have any questions ❤

Oh my goodness @Anitaatje33 your poor thing, sounds bloody awful. How are you feeling now? I hope you have someone around you to look after you.
I miscarried yesterday after the medical management. So far all seems to have passed through, still getting the odd clot but the bleeding and pain has generally subsided and being managed with paracetamol now. I'm just so bloody exhausted, so taking today off work with DH and planning to try and go back to the office tomorrow. Have you been able to have some time off? Thinking of you ❤
@leftitlate37 how are you lovely? Been thinking of all you girls the last few days. Thankfully I seem to be through the physical side of the miscarriage, as the pessaries started to take effect after around 3-4 hours and the bleeding started around midday yesterday. It was the most surreal day and one we will never forget. Now to recover and grieve. Much much love to you ❤

@Justbee84 So glad to hear all went smooth and the pain is subsiding! Take all the extra time you need though... It's still so tough to go through and your mind needs a break too! Feeling physically much better yesterday/today, still the odd shooting pain here and there, some stomach discomfort (no idea how that's related), it's really the anxiety now that I have to overcome. What if it happens again? What if my body reacts the same again next time? What if the surgery left scarring? It will take time... I've had 1.5 week off work, slowly starting back up now. Take care xx

hey @Justbee84 - ah nice to hear from you, glad to hear that things went "well" and that pain is going now. Have u gone back to work today?! I hope you give yourself enough time- i honestly feel like its taken me a good few weeks to start to feel mentally functional again - i had 3 days off work and in retrospect i should have taken longer. the mind was definitely not ready to be back. take care of yourself anyway and i know we r all diff so jsut got to do whats best for you :)
hope everyone else is doing ok too xx
