Hi all

I recently had a miscarriage in July and we are now back TTC.

Iv done the clearblue early detection test today, no idea when my period is due as it hasn't regulated yet.

But I see a line, very faint but a line.

Can you all see it? And has anyone else had this and its turned into a proper pregnant line????

Is this positive? Please advise!!!

Yes that’s a proper line. It may be faint but the fact it is visable rather than a squinter means it’s positive. Congratulations

Yes I see a line. Best wishes OP, hope all goes well!

Afraid this was a false positive, apparently it can happen on clearblue tests if they are left out, absolutely devastated. Sad

I really wouldn't use clear blue tests. I have had issues with similar before and I understand blue dye tests are quite notorious for this sort of thing.

I'd use pink dye in future first response is a good one x

Cornflake24 · 29/09/2020 12:53

@Bleeting I bought some and it was negative. Still waiting on my period though so praying it was just to early

I would definitely go with FRER, I have had problems with cleablue too. I am going the opposite way sadly and praying for negative after missed miscarriage, medical management and retained products then MVA.

Ended up back at EPU because FRER still showing positive (pretty strong) but blood HCG was negative (i.e.

Cornflake24 · 29/09/2020 15:12

@Amz6219 whats FRER?
That was me not so long ago, I had an MVA on 20th July and got my first negative on the 13th Aug, I had retained tissue so ended up having a miscarriage anyway. Felt like a lifetime. Now we are back TTC and praying for a positive again!

The First Response Early Response tests @Cornflake24 - they must be so sensitive! Would always go with pink dye tests after the problems with clearblue, and now definitely recommend FRER for sensitivity!

I hear you - it really has felt like a lifetime! Found out no heartbeat 21st June, was back in after positive tests this weekend! Hopefully that is the end of it now though as scan was clear and HCG blood negative (and finally had my first few days not wearing a pad in months!). Keen to start TTC but I have so many aches and pains, don't feel like my body has settled down properly yet :(

Hoping you get your positive soon, do you think you will be super anxious when you do? I am desperate to TTC but then part of me knows I will be so petrified! xx

Cornflake24 · 29/09/2020 16:18

@Amz6219 yeah im going to be terrified.
I found out on the 16th July and got the MVA on the 20th July and I started bleeding quite alot and passing clots, ended up with an infection and in A&E with a blocked cervix before negative on 13th Aug.

I'm not going to lie I did feel quite tender for a while, we waited on a first period i got mine 4th Sept but ovulated a week later than normal so waiting on my second period now which in my old cycle was due Sunday so assuming its changed now, praying it doesn't come and I can do a test friday which is day 28.

Its just hurdle after hurdle, a negative is going to hurt so much and a positive will make me anxious, I will be getting private early tests at week 8 and 10 though for some comfort, I thought making it to 12 weeks meant safe, didn't even consider the baby could die and my body wouldn't miscarry!

So similar to me - but I had medical management (twice), thought it was done only to haemorrhage, have infection and the doctor pull the sac from my cervix manually 2 weeks later. Then still had retained tissue, so MVA 11th Sept.

Perfect description - still feel very tender. Looking forward to a period really so I can feel a little bit more 'normal'

It's an awful feeling that you have been carrying it around not knowing, our bodies play some tricks. Then the gap between scans waiting to confirm the inevitable, trying to act normal but knowing :( my body just did not want to let go at all!

Everything crossed for you - definitely get FRER!! xx

Cornflake24 · 29/09/2020 17:42

@Amz6219 seems to be so common, my first period after was heavy but quite normal I guess, be warned your cycle may change though so I wouldn't focus on days too much
