Failed surgical management

I had an MVA 5 weeks ago following a MMC and still hadn't got a BFN. Went back to the hospital today and there is still some pregnancy tissue remaining 😢 They can't offer me surgical management again as there is a higher risk of bleeding for some reason. So having to take medical management again even though this hasn't worked for me on two occasions when I first found out I miscarried.

Has anyone had similar experience? I just want this whole ordeal to be over! 26th July is the date I found out my babys heart stopped beating and im still sat here now with part of it still with me. I feel useless that I couldn't keep my pregnancy, now I cant let it go and its really really hard.

I have no advice @neb91 but couldn't read and run. I'm so sorry you are going through this. You're very brave and very strong.

@neb91 I’ve been going through a never ending miscarriage too so totally get your frustration. I had an MVA at the end of July and then had to have surgery again a few weeks later as there was retained tissue. Then three weeks after that I had to have a hysteroscopy as I was still getting positive pregnancy tests. So three procedures for one miscarriage. Seems to be finally coming to an end now.

I hope the medical management works for you this time.

@neb91 u had an MVA on the 20th July, retained tissue and finally got a negative on the 13th Aug. I had a normal miscarriage two weeks after the MVA, got told my womb was effectively full of tissue so went through the medical and natural side so totally get where your coming from, I opted for MVA for the fact it would be over quickly and sadly it wasn't, I also ended up with a blockage in my cervix and had to get it removed at A&E after being admitted in agony.

Seems to be very common with the MVA as apparently tissue looks like bleeding or clots on screen and they expect bleeding after the procedure so apparently its often falsely identified.

Hi
Hope you don't mind me getting in touch but I've just had a hysteroscopy for retained products as well. I wondered if you were given any advice about when is safe to Ttc again? Feel like my womb might be a bit sensitive at the moment (or maybe just I am!) But also been bloomin ages now since found out we lost the baby and feel keen to try again.
I think we must be a very unlucky minority as can't seem to find many people on here who have had similar experience
Thanks so much
