Bleed 1 week post MVA

Hi All,

First post but I am hoping for some advice/experience... I have had the most drawn out MMC i'm sure it is possible to have! Found out at 9 week early scan in late June that baby stopped growing at 6+2.

I have been in and out of EGU since, 2 attempts of Medical Management at home then Haemorrhage (leading to anaemia and iron tablets), infection and tissue stuck in cervix. Dr removed the tissue in EGU and I thought it was all over, but HPT was positive 5 weeks later and I had spotting for 3 weeks, went back in to EGU where scan showed retained tissue approx 2cm (they were concerned about potential partial molar but blood HCG was 85 so low enough to rule it out).

I went in for MVA last Friday with consultant, I have had no bleeding at all since and was starting to feel like myself again, and felt like i had some closure after over 2 months of misery! Then today almost a week later and I have had what feels like a light period start. It has completely thrown me.

The Dr said to expect some light bleeding for up to 2 weeks then period at 4-6 weeks, but because I had stopped bleeding I am concerned now that a week later it has started up again - is this normal? Does anyone have any similar experience?

TIA x

Also adding that HPT is now negative on CB Digital (was very very faint last week on IC)

On the off chance anyone finds this searching in the future... it has basically stopped now 11 days post MVA.

I panicked the minute I saw blood after everything I have been through, it hasn't been heavy at all but I think everything has made me massively anxious. I decided to give myself to two weeks post surgery before getting too worked up, and a few days later it has calmed to spotting. I guess it can be up and down as your hormones are everywhere and your body has had major upheaval.
