Where to get private recurrent miscarriage tests

I just had my second miscarriage in 18 months, this one after a round of IVF. We had the remains privately tested and it came back that the embryo was chromosomally normal. So looks like the issue is with me.

I’m a bit confused and overwhelmed about what to do next. My GP is going to try and refer me to an NHS clinic for tests but I may not be accepted as I’ve only had two miscarriages and even if I do there may be a long wait.

Where to go if I am not accepted on the NHS? I’ve seen a lot of people talk about Dr Shehata but it seems as though people go to him after getting a diagnosis somewhere else first. Is that correct? And how does his plan work with IVF patients?

I’m also considering going to a new IVF clinic which might do more thorough miscarriage testing. That would be my first choice so I could be treated for everything in one place. Has anyone gone that route to get a diagnosis and where did you go? I’m based in London and considering the Lister and Care.

Any advice welcome.

Hi I'm going through similar so new to this too and also unsure of what's next. But I'm also London-based so wanted to pass on that my Gp has been able to refer me to 5 different NhS recurrent miscarriage / gynae clinics at hospitals, so do push them. One has rejected as don't meet 3 Mc criteria but already have appts for 2, and waiting on last two.

Hi, Im sorry for your mc's.

Im booked to have an online appointment/consultation with a recurrent MC consultant at the Bridge centre in 2 weeks time.

I had a successful Ivf round with the bridge centre 3 years ago and since then have had several mc so I'm going back to discuss the next steps and look to see if there is anything else we can try before going down the Ivf route again.

The bridge centre is based in London bridge but part of the London's Women's clinic in Harley Street. I didn't have a great experience with my local Care clinic but it wasn't in London so you may have a better experience than me X x
