Intrauterine adhesions after MVA/D&C?

Hi ladies,

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this?
I had a medically managed termination for medical reasons in February this year. After weeks of bleeding and me pushing to get checked several times it was discovered that I had retained tissue. This was removed via MVA in April.

I fell pregnant again with the first ovulation after - it ended in a chemical pregnancy. Then another one... now the third. I get positive tests and then start bleeding around the date AF is due, mostly a few days after.

I don't know where to start as my gp is of the opinion to "just give it a few months".

My gut tells me different. What do I do?

I think your body is telling you you that need to wait at least one cycle inbetween chemicals.....the most likely reason is that you didn't give your lining enough time to recover after the D&C the first time if you got pregnant on your first ovulation and then each month you get pregnant/lose pregnancy/ovulate 2 weeks later/pregnant again - in the kindest possible way you need to break this cycle - your lining just isn't being giving time to replenish enough to support a pregnancy?

I did this - and didn't wait and had back to back losses and ended up with an infection on my tubes due to constant miscarriages/chemicals and I ultimately lost my tube and nearly died from a ruptured ectopic pregnancy

Thanks @ivfdreaming

I guess I just need to hear the painful truth.
Professionals said we could try again straight away. So we did. I wish they hadn't told us this and been on the cautious side.

There is a lot of misinformation around unfortunately and usually when they say to try again straight away they do actually mean by waiting to get your period first after a loss.
(IVF clinics make you wait between egg collection cycles and inbetween transfers for this reason)

People like to down play waiting by saying it's just for the doctors benefit to be able to date a new pregnancy more easily and you'll get loads of people saying they fell pregnant successfully without waiting but in my experience it's giving the lining chance to recover which is important. You are experiencing recurrent chemicals which could be a sign of failed implantation of which lining plays a big part. Whereas miscarriages where Implantation is successful is more likely to be chromosomal

Thanks. We'll wait a couple of cycles as hard as it is.

Yes, I put the first one down to the lining not being adequate. And then, as my cycles are rather long, I had hoped this would've been enough time to recover.

Our TFMR was due to chromosomal and physical abnormalities so this plays on our mind on top of the lining. They had drawn blood from my husband and myself when we had the CVS however the diagnosis was clear after the CVS and our blood was not tested.
