Do I need a negative pregnancy test before trying again?

Ok so I have been bleeding from 4 weeks pregnant but I've had the miscarriage at 6 weeks. From 5 weeks pregnant, my pregnancy test has been getting fainter and fainter and this morning it was the faintest line, I could hardly see it on a FRER but on a test strip I couldn't see anything.

The bleeding has stopped now and I'm pretty sure my miscarriage is over.

My question is, do I need to do another test now? I'm pretty sure it'll be negative by next week but I also don't want to get pregnant on this next cycle and then be unsure as to whether it's a new pregnancy or this one?
Basically my question is, when you've had a miscarriage and the lines start getting lighter and lighter, is there any chance of them getting darker again or if I do get dark lines in the future, can I be confident that this is a new pregnancy?

Thank you

If youve been bleeding since 4 weeks pregnant then it was most likely a chemical pregnancy. What makes you think you miscarried at 6 weeks? Have you had an internal scan?

Theres no need to wait. Count day one of bleeding as cd1.

How many weeks should you have been now?

@ConnieDoodle so basically the bleeding started for 4 days at 4 weeks but then after that I got stronger tests so the doctor said it could have just been implantation bleeding or normal bleeding in pregnancy because it was so light. Then I just continued to have brown spotting or nothing for about 5 days. Then Sunday I started bleeding heavily for 3 days and now it's stopped and my pregnancy tests are basically negative

You dont need to wait to ttc. Just car dh on and youll get dated at the scan.

You won't ovulate until your hcg reaches zero

Also you should wait at least 1 period - not because of making it easier for a doctor to date a new pregnancy but because you need to give your body time to heal and your uterus lining recover otherwise you are just at risk of another miscarriage

(I ignored this advice and had 2 back to back miscarriages followed by a near fatal ectopic as not waiting led to an infection in my tubes)
