Waiting for miscarriage

I'm waiting for the bleeding to start. I found out Wednesday it had stopped growing. I was on progesterone (IVF) and stopped it Wednesday. Nothing seems to be happening, the odd cramp or twinge but no spotting. My main concern is I go on a work trip 3 weeks today abroad and I obviously want it over with by then or at least the worst of it. I have a medical management booked for Wednesday if nothing has started. What are the chances of this been over in 3 weeks?

Sorry for your loss.

I hadn't really had any bleeding when I found out about my mmc, my medical management worked quickly, I passed everything the same day as the second lot of tablets and went home. Continued to bleed for 4 weeks (3 from the mc and then my period straight away) but that was all manageable. Hopefully the medication works as swiftly for you.

@Loti92 @Easterbuns1 I really wish I had asked for medical management on the day I found out but it was it my fertility clinic and the doctor advised natural to start with. For your medical management do you take the medication at the hospital or can you take it at home? So sorry for you losses. It's just so awful, I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

@LillyLeaf I had to take two oral tablets in front of the mw in hospital on the Friday morning and went home. Returned on Saturday morning and had 2 tablets internally from mw. They then give 2 further tablets orally every 2 hours until things start to work. I only needed the internal ones then one oral dose on the Saturday. I had passed everything by 2pm and was home for dinner time. I know the way things are administered can vary by health trust though and I've read people on here say that they've needed a couple attempts at medical management. I really do hope things are straightforward for you like they were with me, the only blessing on it all was that it happened quickly I'd have hated to have been waiting and waiting and nothing happening.

God I have no idea how these things work. Not sure what to do about work, I really don't want them to know.

I still haven't started bleeding naturally yet so started the medical management yesterday. I had one tablet at the hospital yesterday, this is stage one and called Mifepristone, tomorrow i'll put 4 Misoporstol tablets in my mouth to dissolve, then take another 2 orally 3 hours later then another 2 3 hours later. Hopefully that will work. It seems every hospital has s different way.

@Loti92 thanks for the advice. I've read some awful horror stories Hopefully mine won't be too extreme, I just want it to be completed with no additional treatment. It's so strange waiting for the worst day of my life.

@Loti92 the flowers are a lovely idea. I've started bleeding tonight, not too much just period type. I'm pleased it's started naturally but I'll still take the drugs tomorrow to move it along. I hope you're coping ok with it all.
