Recurrent miscarriage - help with testing?

Hi all

I'm so sorry we find ourselves here but looking for any advice you might be able to share. Not sure where best to post this so also copying to conception.

After three miscarriages (12 week scan mmc of 10 weeks fetus, 5 weeks and 11 week scan of 8 week fetus) in 2018 I've been referred to the recurrent miscarriage consultant. The appointment isn't until April and so wondering what we can be doing in the mean time. I can't just sit here and wait another 4 months and then potentially another 6-8 weeks for the results.

I've got an appointment with my GP tomorrow morning. Are there any questions or tests I could be asking her for like the blood clotting or hormone/blood work that they might do before the consultant sees me?

I just need to feel like I'm doing something!

Thanks

Your situation sounds very similar to mine. I asked the same question as you and was advised the GP could not do the tests required.

However, it might be worth asking if there are any cancellations to allow you to be seen sooner - I did this and got lucky.

My gp ordered the initial bloods for me. Have you tried taking low dose aspirin? I think they try that for pretty much everyone. Could ask gp if they are willing to give progesterone suppositorites if you conceive? I went zero caffine too. Not much more I can think of.
I was given injections if clexane by epu, who knows what worked! I had 4 mc, but have two dds now.

I'm in same situation, waiting for an appointment with gynaecologist. Any advice also gratefully received.
