Hello,
Currently experiencing my second consecutive mc; well, a chemical pregnancy (last one was 5wks 2days, this time 4weeks, 4 days).

I have a dd who was conceived easily 7 years ago and no issues but i then developed postpartum thyroiditis, autoimmune with high thyroid antibodies despite currently being well treated on levothyroxine. I am also 35. We chose to delay ttc after dd for various reasons; whilst i'm not regretting this as i needed this time, i do feel i maybe should have got on with it.

I'm pretty sure the mc are due to the autoimmune as that's the only thing that's changed apart from getting older so don't want to waste time and want to get this investigated properly. I have taken about a year to conceive again since prev mc so i am impatient althought we didn't try every month.

I have read alot about Dr. Shehata and Professor Quenby, I am leaning towards Dr. S due to my autoimmune issue but just wanted to know what you ladies thought as to who would be best.

Many thanks,
Catty x

I worked in the same hospital as Professor Quenby. She does a huge amount of cutting edge research and really is very impressive.

So sorry for your losses. I was successfully treated by Professor Quenby and her colleague Professor Brosens and I cannot praise them enough. Their protocol is based on their extensive ongoing research into recurrent miscarriage. You can be referred to their Coventry clinic on the NHS wherever you live and you can also pay for natural killer cells testing privately. If you have any questions just ask. Cuddling my miracle baby as I type!
