Infection after miscarriage

Has anyone experienced this? I went to the GP last week because my first period since MMC in October has been going on for weeks and shows no signs of stopping and the swabs have shown strep b infection. She's prescribed antibiotics and but I forgot to ask her how long this will take to clear up and whether it has any relevance to TTC again in the new year. DD was screaming 'MUMMY' at me so loudly on the phone I pretty much thanked the doctor and hung up Sad

Yeah, thank you, feeling much better for the Christmas holiday. We've taken it really easy and found polite ways to opt out of doing the rounds to see the entire family this year. I'm due to start a new job next week and DD starts at a new school so we've had a good excuse to have a proper break. My infection seems to have totally cleared up now (fingers crossed) and I'm amazed by how much difference that's made. I feel much more positive about everything, including hopefully TTC in a couple (?) of months. How's your break going?xx

That's good! Yeah we didn't do the rounds this year, figured we'd had a tough year so wanted to stay at home as much as possible, did have to see MIL though 🙄😂. That sounds really exciting, good luck with the new job and I hope DD likes her new school! The breaks been good, I don't go back to work until next week which is good but it has been a bit hard because my maternity should be starting now and I shouldn't be going back at all but we're still in the ttc stage but there's nothing we can do except keep ttc! Hopefully the pregnacare will help! When do you think you'll start ttc again? Xxx

Probably not until Feb/March. I'd like to TTC straight away but need to delay to get settled into the new job. I'd feel dreadful telling them I was pregnant straight away although we fell pg so quickly last time that I'm expecting it to take a while this time (if at all!). I'm so sorry to hear you'd have been starting mat leave around now, that must be painful Sad Have you planned anything nice for Jan to take your mind off it?

Here's hoping 2018 brings us BFPs anyway and in the meantime Happy New Year.xx

I got pregnant right away last time but it's just not happening for us this time! Yeah I wouldn't be going back to work which I'm finding a bit tough. People think you should be over it by now too so no one asks if you're okay, kinda feels like no one cares anymore! No nothing planned, DH is working on that day so that's great 🙄. I hope so too, fingers crossed 🌈

You have any plans for NYE? xx

We had an impromptu party with the neighbours last night and it was lovely. We're really lucky that we all get on and socialise regularly so it was all very easy. DH drank waaaaay more than he meant to so is feeling it today but I stayed off the booze so am feeling very relieved to have had a good night and to not be paying the price today! Did you get up to much?xx

That sounds lovely! We spent it at our friends house (another couple) and everyone except me drank way too much, I obviously had nothing, but DH seems okay today surprisingly. Xxx
