It is with sadness that I am asking if anyone sadly has been through a missed miscarriage with IVF and can understand how I am feeling. I have had one and was 8 weeks pregnant.

Thank you berryupset and I am sorry for your loss aswell. I hope you have had a happy ending. It’s so cruel that we have to go through this, and the fact it is very common is so heartbreaking. I hope you had a nicer ward then I did xx

Thank you CosySnuggles it has been a long and drawing day. I thought I had no tears left. I was given pessaries once I got there to soften my cervix and I then had cramps it was horrid. I was first on the list to go down and they said it was because I was so distressed. It was over quite quickly. I feel so numb now. Am still cranky and bleeding but have good pain relief. Make sure you have some incas you body reacts the same as mine (I hope it doesn’t) my clinic said that my period will take 4-6 weeks to come so I think maybe that’s why they said a 3 month wait but I’m not actually sure, I would like to know aswell, so whoever finds out first we can let each other know. It’s so sad but a big help to have someone to talk to. I will be thinking of you tomorrow and sending you big hugs x x

Sitting in hospital waiting to be discharged. Waiting for the procedure was the worst part. My hospital had everyone in at 7.30 and I didn't go through until nearly 12noon. The procedure itself and recovery so far has been absolutely fine- staff are amazingly efficient and kind. No pain or anything really, I can't believe I hesitated about having this procedure at all really!

I'm sorry to hear your experience yesterday @Hanim79 , I hope you are recovering at home today and feeling much better!

I will definitely let you know what I hear from my clinic about the fet! Quite looking forward to going to see about it now!

Hello CosySnuggles how are you feeling? Waiting for it was the worst part for me, when they took me I was crying my eyes out, but didn’t want to tell you that as I thought you would be upset enough as it is. Today I feel much better so I’m hoping that is a good sign to come. And I thinks it’s the best decision, I don’t think I could have done it by medication or naturally no way. I am glad everyone was kind, you obviously was at a much kinder hospital then I was. I had a few kind ones but not all. I hope your safely and soundly back at home now x x

I’m going to keep checking in on this thread if you feel you need to talk any more

Oh @Hanim79, I'm so sorry to hear you had such a time of it on Tuesday 🤗. I am glad to hear that you are feeling better now and pleased that you made the right choice.

Waiting was long and annoying, but I was absolutely fine really. I felt a huge sense of relief after I got home yesterday but feeling quite sore and woozy this afternoon. (I came to work just for the afternoon which was probably not my cleverest decision!)

I had an unexpected reaction to the anaesthetic where I started getting wheezy and my blood oxygen levels dropped while I was coming round, oxygen and salbutamol sorted it out but it meant it took me a lot longer to get out of recovery! I now need to go and see my gp and see if my childhood asthma has returned as apparently this most often happens in cases of poorly controlled asthma! Hopefully not! Thanks

Hi Ladies, I found this thread yesterday after much Googling on the topic. I have one daughter already and have secondary infertility. I had my first full round of IVF in September, got pregnant, had a heartbeat at 8weeks then via a separate private clinic had another scan at 10 weeks and had no heartbeat, was pretty gutted to say the least. We flew on holiday the next day for a week, came back last week and I had an ERPC on Monday. I feel pretty low, empty and just so sad, it's just the strangest thing to be going through. Time will heal I guess. How are you doing @Hanim79 ?m X

Hanim79 · 08/12/2017 16:46

Hi EmsIMO I am sorry for your loss. I am going to start a new thread at some point. How awful for you, to hear a heartbeat too. It is just so cruel. I can never become a mum on my own the only way is IVF and it’s just not fair is it. Time has helped, but I should be going back to work Monday telling everyone I’m pregnant and obviously I’m not. My ERPC was 31/10 (ironically) and I am still waiting for my period.
big hugs to you and your precious daughter. I find it’s good to talk but none of my friends have been through this x
