I'm O- as is my mother.

OrangeJulius · 26/08/2017 10:11

I'm O-, I have the anti D injections as my husband is A+.

ShiningWhit · 26/08/2017 12:26

I had anti-D also with pregnancies and miscarriages, no issues - it's a easy to deal with condition, they do like to double check they have given it to you/remind you that you have had it.

LillyLollyLandy · 26/08/2017 13:12

I'm O neg and have delivered 3 babies. What would you like to know?

Ropsleybunny · 26/08/2017 14:06

You'll routinely be given anti d injections. I've had three babies and had no problems whatsoever.

So there won't be an implication for this current pregnancy but if this baby is a positive blood group then could transfer antibodies in your blood that potentially could attack subsequent pregnancies.

Therefore you will be offered anti d at 28 weeks and after birth (depending on your babies blood group) and if you have any bleeds during pregnancy.

Some trusts offer CFFDNA where they take your blood in early pregnancy and can determine the babies blood group from that, i believe it's 99% correct. If the baby is also a negative blood group then you won't need anti d.
