Anyone else endometriosis of uterus?

I've been TTC for 3 years.
Had surgery this week to remove two ovarian cysts that were found when I had my MC in March. On discharge the surgeon told me that he found that I have bulky endometriosis of the uterus. He said I need to try and get pregnant asap or go on the pill. Since being home I've researched a bit more in to it and it says that endo of the uterus causes miscarriage. I feel so down because I never realised that this type of endo can cause miscarriage.
Does anyone else have the same? x

Questions to ask your doctor

You may think that if you become ill you just go the doctor and they give you a drug to take away the illness

What if your Endometriosis is caused - or made worse - by things that you eat, or don't eat ?

Here are some questions to ask your doctors about Endometriosis

  • What causes it ?
  • How will looking at it and scraping it help me get better ?
  • How can I stop it recurring ?
  • Could my illness be caused by things that I eat, or don't eat ?
  • What can I change about my diet and lifestyle to help my body repair itself ?

These are easy questions to ask, but very difficult for doctors to answer as they know very little about Nutrition.
It may be worth asking them to refer you to a Dietitian or a Nutritional Therapist, as they specialise in Nutrition.
If your doctor won't do this, try a search for BANT and interview 10 local Nutritional Therapists who have had success advising about Endometriosis and Fertility before choosing which one to work with

Search online for "anti-inflammatory diet"
This and the suggestions below may help to reduce the pain

Here are 3 well-proven natural ways to reduce the Inflammation that causes the pain of Endometriosis

*Increase your Vitamin D
*Increase your Omega-3
*Reduce your Omega-6

Here are some relevant references that may be useful to you:
Vitamin D Wiki
Optimise Omega-6/3 Ratio
How much Omega-3 ?
15 Omega-3 Foods
What to Do About Inflammation ?
Expert Omega-3

Some people have reported that eating specific foods like meat or dairy gives them an instant flare-up
Which foods make your Endometriosis worse and which help ?

Regarding TTC, search both VitaminDwiki and ExpertOmega3 for "pregnancy" & "fertility" There are lots of reports that boosting your levels of both your Vitamin D and Omega-3 may help you conceive

Best wishes

Hi x not sure if this will be any help but i have endometriosis on one of my ovaries and my doc warned me that it might be difficult to get pregnant but after just 3 months of trying we managed. We were all surprised (me, hubby and doc!) but happy. However it ended in miscarriage-chemical pregnancy as no sac had formed. My doc said that the pregnancy had caused the endometriosis to shrink making it easier to get pregnant a second time round even though we didn't have difficulty the first time and sure enough i was pregnant the following month. Weeks later i suffered a MMC. We went to my docs for an ultrasound to hear the heartbeat but she broke the news that the fetus had stopped growing and i was prescribed cytotec to pass the sac.
Just wanted to share to give you hope that you can get pregnant with endometriosis of the ovary and i hope the same goes for your type of endo. My doc has said she highly doubts that the endometriosis caused my miscarriages especially the second one because a sac was formed. I had blood tests ordered by my doc and my results showed protein s deficiency. The verdict is still out on whether this could have caused the miscs as all this has been recently. I also spoke to another obgyn who told me endometriosis can cause infertility but not miscs(my type at least). I hope this has helped. Fingers crossed all goes well for you. Flowers
