How do I know?

I'm assuming I've had a very early mc. I had 2 positive tests on Saturday and lots of pregnancy symptoms including crampy ovaries, dull pressure and a metallic taste in the mouth.

On Wednesday evening I started bleeding, light at first then heavier dark red with some cramps. On Thursday it was bright red with stringy clotty bits. Since Thursday afternoon and today it's so light it's almost gone now. In fact I haven't changed my pad yet today and I feel dry.

Question is, how do I know I've definately miscarried? I still have a really strong metallic taste in my mouth and cramps in my ovary area.

On Wednesday I mowed the grass and felt too exhausted like I pushed myself too far. I'm not sure if that's what caused it but it's possible I suppose.

Do symptoms take a long time to go? Also my periods normally last 5 days but it's only been less than 2?

It's not that I am keeping hope or anything just genuinely confused why I still have this metallic taste? Thanks

Sadly pregnancy hormones can take a week or so to go completely after miscarriage, hence the continued symptoms. In fact pregnancy tests can carry on being positive for a while.
I'm curious, have you seen your gp?
Do you plan to?
Lots of women bleed in early pregnancy and continue to have a healthy pregnancy, bloods will be able to give you more information. Your gp can arrange this if necessary.

Oh and mowing the grass will have absolutely no bearing on a pregnancy at all, so don't be torturing yourself with those thought.

I haven't been to the doctor at all. I figured they would just say there was nothing to be done but wait and see?

Well yes, but it needs to be recorded on your notes for any future referrals if needed.
Also bloods, if everything settles down, that's fine, if not you will need medical advice and possible treatment.

Best of luck x
