Conceiving after miscarriage?

Can anyone advise. I had a erpc after a missed miscarriage in January. After a longer than normal wait I had a period followed by another 30 days later I thought things had returned to normal. I am now 4 days late and have similar signs from before of being pregnant and no signs of a period coming. I have taken 2 pregnancy test one at the start of the week and one today. Both negative. Is this normal or should I be worried ? Has anyone had anything similar. I am desperate to try again but I am not stressing about it but wonder if this is affecting it or if something is wrong. I am 41 and fear that the stress of the last few months may have triggered the menopause if that's even possible. Would love to hear from anyone plz

I fell pregnant 3 months after my miscarriage, so it does happen. I didn't trust the signs so didn't test straight away but it was positive when I did. My periods were all over the place though during those 3 months and it actually made it a little harder to date the pregnancy as I didn't really have a typical cycle length anymore.

Fingers crossed for you.

Thank u. I think I am just hoping. I kw I should expect things to be bit a bit wonky. Just wish I knew either way

Hi op I had an ERPC for a mmc on Jan too (my 3rd mc and 2nd ERPC) and whilst my first post ERPC period was normal cycle length of 24 days, my 2nd cycle was a totally random 37 days. For no reason.

Everything is back to normal now but it's very common after a mmc I believe as the body still believed it was pregnant and then your hormones started dropping so can just take longer to sort out.

I'm so sorry for your loss

I am so sorry for ur loss too. It seems senseless when something is so wanted.
I did not have a period for about 7 weeks after the op. Then my next one came 31 days later. My normal cycle was actually about 34 so I was expecting it anywhere between 31 and 34 days. So I have been conservative about the lateness but I am now day 37 of my cycle according to my tracker. I guess it's just wishful thinking. My body seems to have still been preparing itself for pregnancy although my op is nearly 3 months.
Thank u for responding xxx
Hugs to u

Sorry for your losses ladies.

Have you heard of fertility friend tracking. I monitor my basal body temp (using a thermometer from Amazon that cost a fiver) and together with observing cervical mucus (gross but you quickly get used to it), I know when I am coming up to ovulation and once I have ovulated. As well as knowing when to DTD, you know when to test which is a big help if your cycle length is all over the place like mine is anyway, God know how it will be after this miscarriage...

I have a tracker prior to miscarriage my cycle was 34 days. After it's been 31 and 32. I am now day 38. Still no signs of anything. I just feel unwell severe headache. Fatigue. Slight nausea. I have no idea how to to basal temps or what they mean. Or cervical mucus but if I am not pregnant I guess it's something I could learn. Thx for the advice and so sorry for your loss too

Hi Rachel, I'm so sorry for your loss. My cycles have been all over the place after my natural m/c at 11+5 on 19th Dec. They have been 37 days, 43 days and 37 days. Before my m/c my cycles were 27 days to the day. During the 43 day cycle, I had pretty much convinced myself I was pregnant but all tests were negative and it turned out I had an infection which I was prescribed antibiotics for. I sincerely hope you get your BFP this cycle, it's absolutely possible and wish you all the luck in the world. However, I also know from personal experience that it can take several months for your cycles to reset again and to get into your new rhythm. FX for you and please keep us posted on how you get on. Hugs. X
