First time posting here in this section and not even looked on here before so I'm a bit lost on what I should/shouldn't say - Apologies in advance.

I was due AF on Sunday, I'm the sort that I'm every 28 days on the dot and usually on by 9am! Took a test when AF didn't arrive and result was neg, same with test on Monday. POAS yesterday after some slight spotting and wasn't completely sure but looked like a super faint positive.

Was woken in the early hours to cramping and have today started heavily bleeding. TMI have also passed clots and have cramping and lower back pain similar to how I felt after having a sweep with my first.

I don't normally get period pains or anything. Does this sound like a miscarriage? If so should I be doing anything? Or is my body just giving me a super AF to make up for lost time!

I would really appreciate any advice or replies so thank you in advance

So sorry you're experiencing this. It must be quite worrying.
Unfortunately from what you've described, It sounds like you may be suffering from a very early miscarriage after a chemical pregnancy.
A chemical pregnancy is when you show a positive test but bleed within a few days of a missed period.
I'm so sorry as losing a baby at ang stage of pregnancy is so sad.
You could check in with your doctor if you're able to this week, as its good to have the pregnabcy noted (God forbid you go on to have any future losses, it means this pregnabcy is registered so you can get testing / more support and reassurance next time).
Be ward that after a miscarriage you can still get positive pregnabcy tests until the HCG levels have declined. Your doctor may refer you for a scan to confirm the loss. This is also hard.

Hi Size, that kind you for the kind words. I really do appreciate it. OH is with me but doesn't really know what to say, however he has done all the housework and cooked so I know he cares!
It's just not something I can talk to anyone about in RL so it's good to know I'm in the right place.

There's no greater risk of having another. The idds stay the same, 85% chance of having a sucessful pregnancy. So although this is very sad and you'll need a bit of recovery time, ease try to not let it debt your confidence too much. Unfirtunatwlt having a miscarriage dies take away the innocence of pregnancy, but there's so so many success stories of women that go on to have healthy babies next time around, it is usually just a one off experience.
If you go feel comfortable talking to someone in RL about it, you'll be surprised to realise how common it is. I was shocked to learn of how many friends have exietiences one too. It's fonetjkbg like 1 in 4 women will experience it jn they'd

As i was saying, it's domethinv like 1 in 4 women thag will experience one while trying for their family.
It's common but not be be trivialised. Do make sure you test up and get lots of TLC from your OH.
