I'm very sorry for your loss. Losing a pregnancy is so hard on the heart..perhaps you might wish to ring your midwife and let her know what has happened and allow her to see the picture..xx

Please know I have reported your thread. I simply asked MNHQ to put a warning in the title to alert other poster's that your photo might be very distressing...

Hi babygal I'm so sorry you suffered a miscarriage. I think that the photo probably shows placental tissue. Often the baby has died days or weeks before the miscarriage happens so the sac/ baby is not always obvious. I have miscarried 4 times at 8-10 weeks and only once identified the sac, other times it's all been lost amongst the clots. How are you feeling now? Is the bleeding slowing down? I hope you have some support IRL.

I'm going to ask MNHQ to edit the thread title with a warning re graphic photo. Flowers

It's placental tissue and be prepared - there may be more to come. Please be gentle with yourself- it's a truly horrible experience. It is very unlikely that you would be able to identify the embryo at this stage.....

Hi OP. We are so sorry that you are having such a terrible time Sad, but glad you've been able to join MN and get some online support.

Hope you don't mind our deleting your photo now you've had some feedback from other users - it's just that it might be too distressing for others in similar situations. We hope that you have someone with you in RL who you can lean on, but do keep posting here if you need support and/or advice Thanks
