Oh southport I'm so very sorry to hear this pregnancy hasn't progressed

You have been through a hellish roller-coaster of a 12 months and I'm not surprised you are wondering what on earth to do next.

Can you give yourself a couple of weeks (or longer) without reaching any decisions, or ttc, just to re-group and grieve for your losses? Maybe then the path ahead will become clearer?

Over the last year I have had a miscarriage at 7 weeks, a chemical pregnancy and I'm barely pregnant again. I don't know how many losses I can take either. To be honest, I think my DP will call it a day before I do.

So sorry to hear that Southportmum. I think like Bridget says you need to give yourselves time to make any kind of descicion. Only you will know what is right for you. Sorry that its not of much help, but deep down you will know.

so sorry, I know only too well how hard multiple losses are.

I lost 5 (3MMCs and 2 early MCs) after my first son was born in 2008. But I felt (despite also being 40+) I had to carry on. DS2 was born in September, and I'll be 45 next month.

I totally understand the feeling of "not being able to do that again" and giving up TTC. But miracles do happen. Good luck.

Just reading your topic line made my heart break.... A lot of us have been there. You don't mention how old you are but maybe take a break for awhile. I have had 8 pregnancies. Five ended in miscarriage early on, I had a son at 24 weeks who was stillborn and two healthy but premature girls ( both with lots of complications due to my cervix - which is my main problem. Four miscarriage happened in just over a year ( between the births if my two daughters). Loosing four babies so quickly ( and knowing that I had a whole load of problems to come if we ever did get past miscarriage point ) was hard work. The only thing that kept me going was 1/ I was getting pregnant easily so at least that was "working" and 2/ I was 40-41 years old and so I didn't feel like I could hang about.

It sounds from your post that you are getting pregnant fairly quickly.... Have you thought of taking some time off and investigating a visit to someone like Prof Lesley Regan to see if you can get some really good advice. The other thing at kept me going was my consultant who was beyond supportive.... He had me in and scanned me the second I could tell I was pregnant and I knew that I could rely on him to help in whatever way possible. I was in the process of going to Dr Regan ( with my consultants support) when I got pregnant with the baby that turned out to be my second daughter.

You have had a very very hard time and the physical and psychological toll of all those pregnancies and all that disappoint must be difficult. Wishing you the best luck with your eventual decision.

So sorry for your losses. I had a miscarriage and an ectopic in 2009 before having my daughter and son in 09 and 12. I lost another little boy only three weeks ago at 17 weeks pregnant which has just devastated me.

Only you can decide what is right for you.

Wanted to ask if youd thought of trying chiropractic? I took my baby daughter to see one when she was suffering with colic and read about how it can help ttc. Just a thought....

Good luck in whatever you decide. I know its agony losing a baby but its worth it whem it goes right. All the best x
