Waiting to miscarry and now leaking colostrum....

Just when you thought it can't get any worse.....I am 10 plus 6 with my fourth miscarriage. Found out at a scan last week that the baby had stopped developing but the placenta etc has kept growing so still feeling really nauseous, sore boobs, disgusting taste in mouth. To top it all off, when I woke up this morning I felt that unmistakable tingling in my boobs and looked down to find a wet patch on my pyjamas. This is my first missed miscarriage and the waiting seems torturous. I am not keen to take the medical or surgical options as I had a very serious auto immune illness three years ago and want to avoid drugs and anaesthetics if possible. Just wondered how long people have generally waited for their MC to start once a MMC was diagnosed? I am also worried that my moping and lack of energy will start affecting my DD who is four. Just want it to get a move on! Stupid body......I feel for everyone out there going through this.

tazpat....so sorry for your loss Sad.. Unfortunately I suffered a MMC 4 weeks today after a routine 12 week scan. My baby stopped growing at 7.4 weeks- i should if been 12.2 weeks. I was told on the Saturday...had a natural miscarriage on the Tuesday (3days later) but was booked in for an EPRC on the Thursday which I did not need. I would just explain to your LO that you are feeling poorly...children are very good at being so helpful & wonderful just when you need them to be. Again...I am so sorry you are going through this Sad Sad thinking of you Sad

I'm sorry, tazpat. My mc has started 10 days after it was confirmed at scan. I had already strongly suspected it for a week or 10 days before that because my symptoms had disappeared. I don't know which is worse - symptoms going and knowing what it probably means, or symptoms persisting to taunt you when you know it is for nothing. Both grim.

A little moping is a short-lived thing in the fast-paced world of a four year old. Mine knows I am feeling a bit poorly and have a sort tummy, although that doesn't stop her from jumping at me, it seems. Get your OH involved and anyone else at hand to entertain her and get her out in the sunshine while you have the time and space you need.

Thanks for the messages and so sorry for your losses too. My husband is being great looking after our DD after work and at the weekends. He's been doing all the cooking and kitchen stuff too as I just feel so sick and have done for weeks. Hope something happens for me soon so we can move forward. And then it's off to the recurrent miscarriage clinic for me. I don't want to be here again a few months down the line......I am thinking of telling my DD about the MMC so she can understand all the mood swings in our house better. I think she knows something is up and I want to reassure her that things will get back to normal.
