Recurrent miscarriage advice needed - any point going to my GP?

I'm sorry I know this would be more appropriate in the miscarriage thread, but I'm just looking for some general advice at the moment.

Was pregnant in August, started brown v v light spotting in early September which continued for three weeks. Two normal scans (but a week or two behind where I thought I was) inc one heartbeat. Third scan early Oct showed no heartbeat. Proper bleeding commenced followed by erpc.

Now I'm pregnant again. LMP 4th Nov. Light brown spotting started again on Saturday.

So, it's too early for a scan to show anything I think. I don't really want one anyway, they only gave false hope last time.

Is there any point going to my GP? Is there anything practical they could do at this point to help?

Thank you for any advice, feeling pretty low.

Oh no :( so sorry to hear this. Take good care of yourself, and I wish you the very best of luck for the future.

Thanks for the support. Witherhills, it isn't too bad so far, quite clotty and I ache a bit but haven't taken any painkillers. Thanks for the reassurance.

Baubles I'll see how I go but I may well not rush into this for a bit anyway. I won't flame you!! For curiosity though, why three cycles?

I had a blood smear 2 weeks ago and because of having 2 previous mcs I have had my hcg levels monitored. They are static so yesterday I had a scan which confirmed that nothing has grown past the 4 week stage (on paper I am 6 +4). However they won't intervene until they do another scan to be sure in 10 days time, the day before Xmas eve! I know it's not viable as I have no pregnancy symptoms. They say you will know within yourself if you have mc and that has always been try for me.

I meant true for me not try!

Oh Dunitt, sorry to hear that. This is such a difficult time of year, I know there is no good time for this to happen, but somehow the fact that it is Christmas makes it so much harder :(

Sorry to hear all your sad stories I had healthy dd1 (though had placenta praevia & did bleed on & off) next 2 pregnancies ended in mc & then was referred due to age to Lesley Regan at St Marys hospital. Finally got pregnant with dd2 & during routine blood tests when i started bleeding heavily showed I had clotting problems, all this meant I was monitored very carefully & took regular aspirin. I hope things work out for you.
