SPD after MC - possible??

Hi I just wanted to ask if anyone had any ideas about this.

I have had 2 healthy pregs (10 and 7 years ago) and never suffered from SPD.

This year I've had a MMC at 11.5 weeks and a spontaneous loss at 7 weeks (about 4 months apart).

I've noticed now that I keep getting shooting pains in my pubic area and in to my bum. It isn't there all the time just occassionally and mostly when I walk to and from the school but it bloody hurts when it happens.

My question is:- could the amount of pregnancy hormones I've had in my body this year have caused the ligaments to soften and give me early signs of SPD??

I'm just worried now that if I get pregnant again (and manage to hold on to it) would I be more likely to get SPD in that pregnancy.

I know I should ask my Gp this but I have been to her loads recently and I am just too embarrassed to go back with more questions.

Thanks. X

that was meant to be ALWAYS... one glass of rose and I'm pathetic!!

hippychick66 · 11/09/2010 20:08

You've had more pregnancy hormones in you recenty than I have jolly - did you notice your ligaments loosening??

Do you really think it's worth bothering my lovely GP with???

Ahh ha Hippy - another old friend tracking you down!

Based on zero medical knowledge, my gut instinct is that it wouldn't cause this - perhaps it is a trapped nerve or something similar so probably a good idea to see your lovely GP rather than struggle on in silence. Doesn't sound conducive for TTC as well!

You could always try the Pelvic Partnership's helpline on 01235 820921 but I'd still see your GP (see we don't think you're a hypochondriac!)

Very jealous of Jollster's rose!

Hi Hippy - no idea, I found it after a quick Google.

Oh please not for another couple of weeks. 38+2 today and definitely need more time to get organised!

Hope someone with more experience comes along soon.
