Hi there,

I'm 42, reg periods , however they've gone from exactly 28 days to 26, now 25. Still feels like i'm ovulationg every month.

Last week or so i've been waking up in the night absolutely sweating, (i've had throat infection, so had put it down to that), I feel really light headed.

Thing is we're trying for our last baby.

Please someone tell me that i'm imagining things and overreacting.

Doing school now but will be back

It's normal for your cycle to change over the years, as it has done for you. 25 days is still normal.

The night sweating and light headedness could very well be down to the throat infection.

How long have you been ttc for?

I suggest taking a fish oil (not cod liver! in case you get pregnant) supplement and a B supplement. It may be that there are some perimenopausal symptoms cropping up, but that doesn't mean that a baby is no longer a possibility. You can go to your doc and get them to do a hormone assay to check you're still ovulating and have a sensible length luteal phase.

thanks ladies, very sensible advice.

Am not really panicking quite so much now, just getting all worked up cos we started ttc in Sept, Dh changed his mind and said no more in Nov. Had early mc Xmas, and then couple weeks ago, he agreed, ok, last one. This will be our first month backttc, and am on day 5 of cycle.

Am just taking folic acid and prenatal vits at moment.

Might get the doc check done.

thank you

The stress of ttc is enough to disrupt menstrual cycles. Have you thought of trying things like reflexology or acupuncture to help you? I haven't myself, but many seem to find them useful.
