Bleeding after changing from Evorel Sequi to Conti at 49

Anyone had problems swapping from Evorel sequi to conti? I’ve been on sequi for 3 years, nurse said it’s about time to swap to conti and was still having anxiety/ sleeping probs … I’ve had bleeding for a week long .. not much but still is this what is going to happen? I read you can have spotting up until 6 months but I’m fed up with this already .. didn’t have any problems on the sequi and had breakthrough bleeding at end of each pack. I regret swapping now 😢 .. I’m 49 … was looking forward to my 50th celebrations .. but not like this 😏

It can take 6 months to settle.

The guidance is different to what you have been told.
A change to continuous is suggested -

By age 54, regardless of periods or not.
12 months after a final period (at any age)
An experiment can be tried after 1 year on sequential but if bleeding occurs, back to sequential.

More likely for women under 50 is after 5 years on sequential, try swapping to continuous.

There is no virtue swapping to continuous too soon.

It's actually a choice- not something to be forced on you. Say you want to swap back.

Some drs bang on about the risks to the endometrium on sequential but it's no more riskier than for women not on HRT.

Thank you … she convinced me to try it but I wasn’t sure I was ready hence I delayed a month .. now it’s hit me on my holiday and I’m bloody miserable! Not sure whether to persevere for the month at least ? Feel bloated and migraine like headache .. also emotional 😏
