Anyone lost weight and had shrinkage in the boobs due to menopause?

I think i might be menopausal due to my age,& recently lost lots of weight(12kg) due to stress mostly I think. But my poor boobies have just shrunk in 6 mths from firm 38c to a barely ther floppy flat 34B (on a good day) The tone and evrything has just disappeared!

I don't think what you are saying is due to meno- in fact weight usually increases- due to changing hormones.

If you have lost a lot of weight you should see your dr- unless you know you have been doing more exercise and eating less.

Boobs can shrink after the meno- but not usually straight away - more likely down to your overall weight loss.

My sister lost weight during meno, but then again she had a lot of stress...marriage break up etc. More likely that, tbh.

My boobs have grown, pesky things

And now I'm on hrt they're growing again...

Losing lots of weight is bound to make breasts shrink: my well endowed BP did WW recently, and has a smaller bust as a result - as well as smaller other parts! As for tone, sadly, I think the bulk bit keeps the skin stretched - once the bulk goes down, we see the ageing process more clearly.

I'm sorry you've had lots of stress recently, and agree it might be good to get a health check over the weight loss?

Well I did eat less when it all hit the fan, and now I eat normally again but the weight isn't coming back. Although I don't weigh myself obsessively or anything, maybe I should check it? I mean I quite like being slimmish, and I wasn't huge- in betwe 12 and a 14 but I think I'm too thin, even an 8 is pushing it, I'm a scrawny now, and mourning the loss of the boobs actually. I know what you mean about the tone being kept there by the bulk, Thanks for advice, will think about Doc, but sure they will just say 'eat cake luv'.

Elibean, is hrt any good, I don't have major sympts except occasional flushes, but wondering if it will help with the weight, skin, hair etc.
Just thought could be my thyroid? But I'm not over energetic!

You won't be given HRT for your skin and hair etc- it is now only given if you have moderate to severe meno symptoms. and only then for as short a time as possible.
Sounds like you need to see the dr for a check up.

girlshookup - I have the same problem. I have never been big, but since hot flushes started last year I had a period of two months when I just felt sick all the time. It was just like morning sickness and I really didn't want to eat. I lost a stone in weight and have really struggled to put back half a stone (now weigh 8 stone).

My GP wasn't too bothered by it but I now have no boobs to speak of - 34A!!! My dds are overtaking me and the youngest is 13! I would love to put on weight and I suppose the joy is I can eat what I want. If it was painless and risk free I would definitely consider a boob job.

its crap being a middle aged gal isn't it- so unfair/ Those guys get to age/mature, we get clapped out and pressured into thinking we should all look and feel like Madonna (ha -she's 50 soon), and all the other celebs or we're just not cutting it. I don't look like Madonna, don't want to, just being spiteful, sorry madge

Sorry, GSU, went missing due to loft conversion and chicken pox (dds, not me!)...

My hrt is low dose, and I only plan to use it for two years - my bones are thinning, and I was getting frequent migraines, so GP thought it a good idea in my case. For me, its definitely helping...not hair or skin, particularly, but just energy levels really.

I have put weight on, which is not what I want, but would obviously be good for you!

How about discussing it with your GP?
