Elleste Duet Conti for poor absorber?

Hello. I have been trying different transdermal HRT since last year - patches, gel and now spray. But it seems I don’t absorb well. GP has suggested oral HRT. I am 50 but haven’t had a period for over 2 years.

I wondered about other experiences - whether this helped for you?

But concerned about higher risks but struggling with current symptoms so if it helps I hope worth it. I don’t have many physical symptoms but very (!) anxious and my thinking isn’t as clear as it used to be which is a big issue at work. Libido also an issue but GP said no point starting testosterone until oestrogen levels are higher because the body will convert testosterone to oestrogen.

Thank you.

I've been prescribed Lenzetto spray by menopause specialist at St George's hospital. Was a long wait for appointment but worth it

I've been on patches, gel and tablets over last 4 years (I'm 53) and I'm finally sleeping consistently well in the last 4 months after starting lenzetto in the summer.

I'm also on estrogen pessaries to reduce needing to wee all the time (still.get up once in the night but can go on a 1hr dog walk without stressing) and citalopram (anti d) specifically prescribed to reduce night sweats

So that's my combination but it's taken a lot of trial and error to get here.

Thank you. I started Lenzetto a few months ago (that’s what I meant by the spray) but no noticeable improvement for me. I take progesterone at night. And a vaginal tablet twice a week.

assume I’ll carry on with the vaginal tablet when I start the oral HRT

I didn't absorb patches or spray but after about 4 months on lenzetto my sleep improved a lot and everything else is better when sleep is better.

The citalopram does also reduce anxiety as its an anti depressant. I'd resisted anti d's for years but my Dr took the time to explain that citalopram can reduce night sweats and is commonly used in menopause treatment and not just as a fob off for menopause IYKWIM
