I’m on day 7 and honestly my symptoms feel no better at all . I really thought this was going to be the solution to my high ph, watery discharge and irritation. I should keep going shouldn’t I??

Give it time. It can take weeks.
I needed months before my bladder calmed down.

Are you saying you used it for a sensitive bladder? And if so, did it work?

Allmarbleslost · 21/02/2026 16:27

I'm on week 3 and not noticing any difference either

Do you have similar symptoms to me as well?

It's mainly soreness and irritation for me

What do you mean by sensitive?

Sensitive bladder as in weak pelvic floor at certain time of cycle or after eating certain foods - caffeine, milk, Artifical sugar, carbinated drinks etc

Basically does it help strengthen pelvic floor to avoid bladder leakage

LuxuryWoman2020 · 21/02/2026 22:56

Give it a minute, have you done the loading dose? I have found it amazing but I use a little bit everyday, I use my finger to rub a little from clit to anus, just a pea sized bit. I also repeat the loading dose every six ish weeks, my doctor says it's fine.

Do you have the pessaries too?

I was 57 before I got prescribed and my bits were parched so I figured it would take a while. I can now sneeze without peeing and can do pelvic floor exercises which was impossible before as I had zero feeling.

Pepperedpickles · 21/02/2026 22:58

It’s going to take a while to work - you have to use it consistently and persistently. I use it for interstitial cystitis and early menopause related vaginal atrophy (started it aged 37, had IC since I was 14 but got worse when I went into early menopause) and it’s honestly made a huge difference. But it took a few months to really feel the benefit.

It's not going to help a weak pelvic floor very much. If you're having leakage it's best to see a women's physio and they can teach you how to do the right exercises- not just Kegels.

It can help rebuild the bladder lining which thins with loss of estrogen and this can cause frequency and irritation with certain acidic food and drink as well as alcohol.

That is incredibly helpful, thank you.

@keeponplodding7 hope a bit more time works for your symptoms

Took 5,6 weeks for me to notice improvement. GP said I had to be patient. Has definitely made a significant difference after 2.5 months.

Blanketpolicy · 22/02/2026 15:54

I started HRT (patches and utrogestan) and estrogen cream at the same time around a year ago and one or the other, or both combined did help with my bladder and also stopped the watery discharge that was causing irritation. I also stopped needing to get up to pee 2-3 time a night, but it did take several weeks.

Inmychristmasera · 22/02/2026 23:38

It was three months before I saw a significant difference.

Keep going its early days.

I think this is probably what I need to do too. I’m on a GLP1 so have a call with the gp next week to see how I do both. Thanks

Some reading here on HRT and GLP1.

Also worth reading up on the differences between micronised/body identical progesterone vs synthentic before your call with your GP.
