Hey everyone. Im suffering from extreme worrying, low energy, night sweats, aching joints. I wake up at 3 am everynight really hot and worrying.
Ive had an extremley stressful couple of years with my ex partner(happily no longer together). I.also have a small business which im struggling with various law and financial etc changes such as increase in ni.
Im 45 and my periods are much shorter.
Ive been docs who said im low on viramin d which i now take.
A few nurses and relatives have suggested im in peri and to try merina coil.
The lack of sleep and extreme extreme worrying is the main issue.
Has this helped anyone please?

I have a Mirena and take Oestrogen gel, and it’s really helped with the night time anxiety.

The Mirena on its own won’t help with menopausal symptoms, as most of these are caused by a drop in oestrogen. But Mirena in combination with an oestroegen gel or patch works really well for most people.

That does sound suspiciously like peri, in which case you would want transdermal estrogen (I love the spray) and some form of progestogen. Mirena coil is great if you want zero hassle, contraception and light or absent periods, It's not quite the same as your own hormones but it's low dose and delivered topically. The other progestogen option is micronised progesterone which come people say helps more with sleep and is body identical.
