A year of no Estradot

A whole fecking YEAR. Just outrageous.

I have managed to get through it with a combination of pricey private pharmacies, buying 6 months supply OTC no questions asked in Spain when I was on holiday, and cobbling together combinations of different patches of different strengths to take the edge off symptoms.

And I now see the SSP is extended to the middle of January 2026. Fucks sake.

I’ve just managed to get some on prescription. It’s the 50 dose - I don’t know if particular doses are out of stock and others are starting to trickle in. And yes, it’s been absolutely shit. I’ve been yo-yo ing on gels/other patches/ sprays for months but nothing’s been as effective as estradot.

I share your frustration. Would you consider switching to gel until supplies are reinstated? I prefer estradot too but used oestrogel for the last 6mo and while it’s more faffy, I did find the switchover seamless. I found the gel absorbed better so needed 3 pumps vs 100mg patch.

I'm on the 75s which were initially easier to get along with 37.5 as many women appear to be on 25, 50 or 100. So I was buying 37.5s and using two, and for a while I was using a 37.5 and a 25 together as it was all I could get.

I'm allergic to the adhesive on Evorel and Estraderm and don't absorb on the gel. Estradot is the best for me and it really shouldn't be this hard to get it.

Hmmmm. I'm on 100 and have been able to get them the last 2 times from pharmacy2u. They sent me a notification in the summer that it had come back into stock.

Pharmacy 2 U is not an option in Scotland. We have the old fashioned method of requesting a prescription from the GP which then goes to a bricks and mortar pharmacy. I have stopped even trying because even when the GP writes "Estradot only, this patient cannot have alternatives", they give me Evorel.

And the SSP has been extended again to the end of January. FFS.

I got 50 strength estradot patches last week for the first time in about a year. I have been on estramon in the mean time which thankfully has worked fine for me but I know it doesn't suit some people.

The estradot patch is tiny, I know they were small but I don't remember them being this small. Anyone know if they have changed them? Slightly worried it won't be as effective
