Advice switching from Evorel50 to Evorel75

Hi all, I'm a bit confused. Been on Evorel sequi 50 patches for over 18 months. All going ok until recently when I noticed symptoms returning. GP has now put me on everol 75 patches and also progesterone tablets 1x daily. Am I right thinking I will not get a bleed now or will I still get a bleed at the end of a box like when i took Evorel50. I dont necessarily want to stop having a bleed as I've always had one so I'm a bit concerned? Why when I was on Evorel 50 patches did I only use the patches and no extra progesterone? Any advice, information is welcome. thank you 😊

You need progesterone if you have a uterus. There is progesterone in the 2nd two weeks of the evorel sequi

The evorel 75 patches don't have progesterone.

You probably won't have a bleed if on daily progesterone as it's continuous combined and designed to be bleed free.

Why do you want to have a bleed?

Thanks for the explanation
The bleed comment is only because it would feel abnormal not to bleed and I'm not sure how I feel about it, although I should be glad not to after all these years! I'll see how I get on

I moved up from Everol Sequi to Everol 75 and still had a bleed - though I only had to take tablets for the second half of the month, so there was still a cycle.

I had a mirena coil fitted at the start of this year and prefer this for progesterone delivery, and there's barely any bleeding now, just the occasional bit of spotting. Which is easier in a way, and I certainly don't miss it, but also I feel like I have no idea where I am in my cycle (hard to track any 'natural' hormone highs/lows) and won't have a clue if/when bleeding stops altogether.

I find it weird that when we're on HRT we won't know when we actually hit menopause - but I'm not planning to stop taking it to find out any time soon!

I did wonder. Trust me you'll get used to it! 😁
