HRT headaches

I’m post menopause but have been on hrt for about 5 years. Gel and Ustrogestron tablets. Recently started to get headaches at night. Every night. I think it’s my hrt. Though why this is a new thing is confusing.

Is it likely that as my natural hormones continue to plummet, that I need an adjustment ? Or a different form of hrt?

I started hrt after a consultation at a private meno clinic but get hrt on nhs. I can’t afford another private consult but my gp isn’t very clued up on it.

Clicked on this thread as I’ve been getting headaches and migraines a lot more lately - usually during the two weeks I don’t take utrogesten. If it’s constant you should probably get it checked out. I know mine will likely stop once I start taking them again next week, but if it was ongoing I’d definitely want a GP’s opinion.

I’ve been reading that the capsules can be taken vaginally. Anyone tried that?

The utrogestan - yes I do it that way, totally fine! It increases absorption but generally has less side effects than oral eh bloating.
