Utrogestan

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has had issues when changing from taking Utrogestan orally to using pessaries? I was prescribed 75mg oestrogen patches, took 100mg Utrogestan but recently got upset stomach so Dr prescribed Utrogestan pessaries - but at 200mg. About a week after starting these I've had really bad anxiety and high blood pressure with panic attacks, also night sweats and feeling chittery. Got bloods and urine samples tested - all negative so not an infection. Would really appreciate advice on whether doubling the dose would cause this, or is it the way it's now being taken?

I had to come off utrogestan as I had similar issues but also started bleeding badly. I then got the Mirena coil instead which has been amazing

Thanks for sharing that! I'm 55 and have taken HRT patches and pills for over 2 years now, primarily to settle anxiety and cortisol-related panic attack issues after having covid, which seemed to make everything so much worse. But I've got a 13cm fibroid, so that makes mirena not so easy as a consideration. Would be really great to hear from anyone who has fibroids and uses HRT, if they have tried mirena too?

I have a uterine fibroid and also have a mirena with evorel 50 patches & have no issues at all. I’m 57 and my 2nd mirena was fitted last year. I do get an annual private Gynae check, my choice for peace of mind that all’s ok. I can definitely recommend this hrt regimeSmile

Thanks so much! I'm running out of options so that's good to know.
