Can I take Tranexamic acid with ibuprofen together?
Thanks

Hopefully someone who has done so will reply, but there are no painkillers listed as interacting with Tranexamic acid, so yes they can be taken together.

I am not a doctor. I hope you are feeling better. Flowers

@Julybuddy It's always worth googling stuff like this for the AI info - also using ChatGPT- it's not always right but there are sometimes links to more sound medical advice.

I am pretty sure you can use both- never heard otherwise. You can phone/ask a pharmacist as well.

Thank you both. I will go to the pharmacy. x

Very sensible. I believe they are probably ok but I am not a pharmacist and its always better totrust the professionals. I used to have mefenamic acid which I wasn't allowed to combine with Ibuprofen because they are both NSAIDs but traxenamic acid has a different mechanism.

I spoke to my pharmacist, and he checked the two medications on his computer, confirming there are no interactions. He advised that ibuprofen should be taken after a full meal. I took them today, but at different times, and I'm ok.

I appreciate all your comments.
