Hello, so I started HRT about 2 weeks ago and was told to take the gel, use outside of arm and the progesterone capsules 100mg at night, both have been a life saviour due to my anxiety moods, dizziness and headaches around 1 week or 2 prior to coming on my period. My doctor told me to do the two week on progesterone then 2 weeks off as I still have periods etc.
I am now on my first week of not taking progesterone, can I ask, did anyone else have to do this and did you have any anxiety or anything come back in those 2 weeks you werent taking progesterone? I am strangely nervous because it was so bad prior to taking both, but hoping it wont be too bad if the Estrogen balances it out ok? Any thoughts...
thank you so much...

My doctor told me to do the two week on progesterone then 2 weeks off as I still have periods etc.

The dose is TWO capsules a day for 2 weeks (or 12 days.)

Have a read of the leaflet in the box of tablets- it's listed there.

The other issue about anxiety etc- give it time. You're only 2 weeks in and medical guidance is allow 3 months to see the full benefits.

Yes, I was on sequential HRT for 3-4 years before moving to continuous (daily progesterone). It didn't affect how well HRT managed my symptoms which included anxiety (among many others!) - I assumed it’s the estrogen doing most of the symptom mitigation.

i find that its estrogen doing most of the symptom mitigation too. With progesterone i always feel a bit pre-hrt days for a few days whilst taking it. Normally at the end, so days 10/11/12.
