Hi, I've been on oestrogel for 7 months, all fine but I've recently developed really dry, sore, flaky skin on inner thighs where I usually apply gel so until my skin heals I've been applying to outer thighs from bottom to mid outer thigh I'm not sure if it's as affective as had a couple of hot sweats and a bit of spotting does anyone know if it's just because I've changed area of application and will settle again or if that area isn't good enough for absorption thanks

I apply on my upper arms from elbow to shoulder and haven’t had any issues. Maybe try there?

I'm quite wary and scared of applying to outer arms as I can be quite clumsy so I'm scared I might dribble some of the gel on my breasts, any other suggestions or advice on putting it on the arms safely would be appreciated

Upper arms for the interim. I use inner thighs only after being advised by doctor. I think it works better there.
even if you accidentally dripped some onto your breasts surely you’d notice and wipe it up quickly. It’s not a big deal surely. I know you should apply
direct but think you are being over cautious

i dont think you have another option really anyway

Wear your bra before applying it then none goes on your skin. The gel is too thick to dribble, really.
One other tip is to split the dose (if it's 2 pumps) morning and evening; that way you put half a pump on each upper arm which is far less to apply.
