Long term breast pain on utrogestan

I’ve been taking continuous utrogestan vaginally for 8 months now but have constant breast pain/tenderness. I was hoping that after 6 months or so it would ease off (as per normal side effects) but it hasn’t and I’ve gone up a cup size. Up until this point I was taking it cyclically but that comes with its own set of problems too.
Has this happened to anyone else? Did it eventually resolve?
Im thinking of trying the mirena to see if that helps. I would rather not for a variety of reasons but my breasts are so sore even showering is uncomfortable and I’m at the stage of taking painkillers.

Evening Primrose Oil can be helpful in reducing breast pain, though I've not tried it myself. I know it was prescribed on the NHS for this reason in the past.

Are you on estrogen too? When I get breast pain with my hrt it’s normally down to my estrogen been too high, not the progesterone

Yes am on estrogen too. I’ve been on that for a few years. Breast pain only develops when I put utrogestan into the mix. Previously it was day 10-14 befor a bleed but now I’m on continuous it’s all the time.

I have tried putting the estrogen up but that doesn’t seem to have any effect on the breast pain.

am wondering if the mirena might suit me better

I already take omega 3 but could look into this as it’s Omega 6 I think that is in evening primrose oil.

Yep same happened me and when I reduced estrogen the breast pain reduced. I’d talk to your doc about it x
