Hi all.

looking for some help.

currently going through perimenopause. After eating which is mostly carbs just now I feel awful.

headaches, congestion, one sided headaches and one sided nasal congestion. Nausea and fatigued. And sometimes a little anxious.

does anyone have any experience with this?

grateful for any replies

I get histamine intolerance. Take a daily anti histamine.

Also have a look at low histamine foods and histamine blockers.

Thank you for replying. Do these symptoms sound familiar? Sorry for asking I’m just a little freaked by them.

I have famotidine?

My son has this. The Dr proscribed antihistamines and a steroid nasal spray to aleiviate the congestion. Seems to help.

My son has the exact symptoms as you op. He definitely finds AHs helpful and paracetamol sometimes too.

Being sensitive to histamine isn't that abnormal OP. It's all connected to the immune system and the immune system gets a bit stressed at times. Peri defo makes it worse.

I use Neilmed saline rinse every morning which helps a lot too. There's a decongestant one too, think it's Sudafed that sometimes helps.
