Hi all, long story short, I’m 45, temporarily stopped Tamoxifen for 6 weeks after 9 months without a period and thickening of uterine lining, polyps, massive fibroids, cysts and all that jazz. After the break, had hormones tested and was told I’m in peri. Back on Tamoxifen and since then, after years of irregular periods, mine are now like clockwork again every 30 days which they were for most of my life before Tamoxifen which can put you in a menopausal state. They are now heavy as fuck with all the typical stuff a week before - tearful, night sweats, anxiety etc etc. I’ve never heard of periods suddenly becoming regular after years of being months apart. Any experience of this? I’m waiting for yet more tests around the cysts and thickening and polyps and ultimately my gear box is fucked but one perk was only having a few periods a year. I can’t be doing with wearing Tena night pants for a week every month and really want a hysterectomy. They’re so heavy I have to take tran acid and wear nappies. Thanks for reading xx

Can you say if you're in the UK- because treatment varies in different countries.

Tamoxifen- is this for breast cancer?
I'm only aware of it being used after BC treatment, to prevent recurrence.

Can't answer your post without knowing why you're on it- sorry.

think this is too complicated for anyone here to answer because it needs a specialist to look at the whole picture of risks around Tamoxifen and if it's doing this. (I appreciate you're waiting for some tests.)

You should be under the 2-week rule for your symptoms of cysts, thickened lining etc.
