What’s good for poor memory and low motivation/lethargy due to the menopause?

Ha ha, spot on! Bit too young for that so was hoping for drug recommendations!

I'm usually really sceptical about supplements etc but I've been taking mushroom supplements, I'm not menopausal but have PCOS and hormonal issues that make me feel tired and foggy. They've been brilliant it's like my brain is switched back on
I take these ones from Holland and Barrett

I take menopace which helps, I think I get low iron and magnesium so something with those in?

Shakethedisease · 05/07/2025 20:00

Check your iron and ferritin levels. Very common for these to be low even without menopause being a factor.

HRT including testosterone plus vitD and ferretin. And divorce.

MoreChocPls · 06/07/2025 17:47

I’ll pass on the divorce but thanks everyone. Will take a look.

Ha, you beat me to it! 😁

No but seriously, had early menopause and was not able to have HRT because of history of oestrogen positive BC. I didn't find any alternatives or supplements really made any difference.

When office based it did help a lot to take half an hour to walk in the local park, do some deep breathing, clear my mind and just reset part way through the day.

Cutting down on caffeine and alcohol (sadly) also helped. Time is a big factor - your body is making a huge adjustment and needs time. Eventually it will get better!
