Help with progesterone HRT option

I’m 47 and have been taking HRT for over 2 years taking Noriday mini pill 3 a day plus 3 pumps of oestrogen. This has been working really well for me as I was already on Noriday pill for 6 years prior to this. However the pharmacy say it’s no longer possible to get Noriday supply so have gone to the GP and asked them to change the prescription. They gave me a paper prescription and I can’t seem to find it anywhere myself either.
The GP has offered degestorel (cerelle) at 2 a day or 1 a day plus continuous micronised progesterone or mirena coil. I don’t want any of these options as I tried cerelle prior to Noriday and felt very low and my hair fell out and am not brave enough to try the coil. I have a telephone appointment booked early June so was keen to know if there were any other options and whether I needed to continue with the mini pill for contraception and could just take the micronised progesterone? I’ve not had a period for 8 years so assume I’m in menopause.

Doesn't the mini pill often stop periods?

You can't assume that you are post menopausal at 48 if you've been on the mini pill for all those years.

The average age of menopause is 51. Guidance is to use contraception for 2 years if you're under 50 and 1 year after 50, if your periods have stopped for a year.

So you need something else as well as micronised progesterone.
