Frequent waking during the night to go to the loo

So tired - waking on average 4 times a night to go to the loo. I’m fine during the day, wee normally! Not drinking a vast amount. If I don’t go at night regardless of whether I need it I end up lying awake wondering if I need to go 😩 I’m 48, on hrt for a few months now.

OMG are you me?! I have exactly the same experience minus the HRT. I do think it can be psychological, as, when I get up I often don’t seem to wee much! So annoying though.

I find it easier to get into a nighttime wee habit now. If I get up to go one or two nights then I have to forcibly try not to otherwise I cant stop waking up.

You might have to look at the clock and try and hold it for 30 mins each time and extend it until you're not getting up at all or only once.

Try and front end of the day load your water. You may need more oestrogen in your HRT, or even an oestrogen pessary (which btw originally autocorrected to pastry!!) to go into your vagina.
I found nighttime urination stopped when I started on HRT and also completely gave up alcohol. It is however something you must attend to because it can lead to full-blown incontinence

I can't drink much in the evening. Cup of tea weak early evening. No wine, pop or coffee. Estriol cream is helping. I try to go back to sleep and usually do. It's very annoying having this urge to go sometimes I go on the way to bed, get comfy with a book and get the urge. I do find that if I stay sat on the loo for a minute or two there's another wee lurking.
