Liquid collagen

In the hope of mainly improving my stiff joints (age 52) and skin I've tried one month of Spoiled Child (expensive) and am half way through a bottle of Collagen Superdose by Gold Collagen. I'm not sure I've seen results yet although I know you have to stick at it. But at some point I need to get another bottle of something. Can anyone recommend one that they think actually helps? I quite like the nice tasting liquid form ones although powder or tablets would be OK.

For joints I take a good quality omega 3, and it took my aches away

Thank you..I do take all the joint supplements and omega 3 and cod liver oil etc but just thought I'd give Collagen a go as its all over my Instagram at the moment! And Im also interested in the skin and hair benefits. But it's tricky to know which ones actually work!

I read somewhere that collagen isn’t a complete protein, so you’re better off upping your protein. Not sure if it’s true or not.

I've also heard that eating collagen doesn't do anything as it can't be assimilated into the digestive system to do anything. Swallowing collagen doesn't mean our bodies absorb it.

There was a prog on Radio 4 on this a few months ago- round about 12 pm- looking at the science about collagen. You'll be able to find it on iPlayer with a search. The outcome was it's useless and all marketing.
The way to stop joints getting stiff is to use them more- yoga, pilates, stretches.

I will have a look. It's expensive and it would be really annoying if it doesn't have any effect. Davina Macall is always advertising one which I thought looked good but no so sure now.

I've looked as you suggest. The most recent one is "The Food Chain" so will listen to that.
