I have auto immune illnesses and was prescribed the pill over covid to try and relieve v heavy periods (I was 46) - it settled them down and alls been good, last year on a routine visit to my GP I asked for a repeat script and it was realised I shouldn’t have been on the pill at that age and the Dr appeared quite knowledgable and suggested that I start HRT instead, so I didn’t periods have recently gotten heavier but I assumed this was because the 5 years of contraceptive pill was getting out of my system, my periods are now regular heavy but don’t last more than 5 days - I did have some spotting between very light periods when I started the HRT.
I did go for a pelvic and internal scan during covid and heard nothing back.
so went for a routine checkup again , another dr who suggested I didn’t need the HRT, offered me the pill and then withdrew it when I explained my age etc - she referred me for another scan and agreed I should stay on HRT.
Had the scan, was told everything seemed ok, although it looks like I may have the start of fibroids as I am now 50.
was expecting no issues but 2 days letter I get a text to make an appointment to discuss the results - obviously worried I rang to be told the dr will ring me on a date 2 and a half weeks away.

little hand hold or words to stop me overthinking welcome x

Fibroids tend to shrink as we get towards menopause. Take a look at the NHS info if you haven't already.

The GP is obligated to discuss the results. Did you read your results online?
