Has anyone used the Issiva -
Issviva x Joylux Vaginal Rejuvenation Device
?

Can you link to it?

If it's a laser treatment, the jury is still out on it and the BMS says there is no sound evidence it's effective.

Bump. Would be interested to know too

JinglingSpringbells · 03/03/2025 07:43

@shoutinginasoundproofedroom With any of these things it's best to do some research online to see if there are any research papers or comments by menopause experts, like the British Menopause Society who often produce statements on treatments. If you put the search words into google it may come up with stuff.

Recitalbouquet · 03/03/2025 07:50

Oh phew! For a second there I thought this was what you wanted to name your baby.

After being repeatedly bashed with SM ads (how on earth do they know I’m looking for help in that area???) I came on here to see if anyone had things to say about Issiva. Not much in the way of real reviews or research on this yet so I’d probably steer clear for now. https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/issviva.co.uk

Issviva is rated "Poor" with 2.7 / 5 on Trustpilot

I'm very tempted to have a go; if I do, I'll log a running report here.

Laser treatments are not recommended as no proof they work.
Do some googling and look at reputable medical research papers etc first.

LivesinLondon2000 · 16/09/2025 08:19

Issviva isn’t a laser - it’s infra red. But I don’t have one though and can’t say anything about its effectiveness.

boatgirl81 · 09/10/2025 11:52

I have just bought one after suffering for a while now with increasing discomfort and regular UTI’s. Have been on HRT and pessaries for a few years but steadily the dryness and soreness has got worse. I have only used it twice so far and not sure if it if the Aloe gel they supply or it is working already but I do feel comfortable today.

EveSix · 18/10/2025 18:04

I've ordered one. Will post a review once it arrives and give progress updates whatever the outcome.

EveSix · 22/10/2025 21:06

Attempted delivery by Royal Mail today, so decent turnaround of my order. They'll try to redeliver tomorrow, so if I've got time I'll do an unboxing post...

Betty91 · 06/12/2025 19:52

Bumping this as I am also being bombarded with ads about how happy Halle Berry is now she's used this.

I am using pessaries but not on HRT - hoping for anything that'll revive me.

The oestrogen cream triggers my UTIs so that's sadly out.

boatgirl81 · 07/12/2025 12:45

I have been using it for a couple of months and it has actually really helped me. It is pricey but I have had a massive reduction in UTI's and general discomfort. I would feel dryness and pain most of the time and was already using HRT and pessaries which didn't seem to help. I don't know if it is the heat, the vibration, the red light or all 3 combined but it has improved my comfort a lot. I would recommend but think it might be possible to find other cheaper alternatives. I would buy it again.

Betty91 · 09/12/2025 12:50

Thank you @boatgirl81 & v glad it's been a success

RobinStrike · 05/02/2026 16:44

@EveSixdid you test this out? I’m looking at finding something to help. I currently have estriol pessaries which have helped but not as much as I’d like.

EveSix · 05/02/2026 17:37

@RobinStrike thanks for the nudge!
I have used it and always intended to return with a review but a couple of things have got in the way.

But as I'm here now, I'll write a short update.
The Issviva comes smartly presented in a satin pouch and presentation box. Mine also came with a tube of lube and some sachets of 'intimate wipes'.

It requires an initial charging and is then good to go.

The device is bigger than I expected, and entirely rigid. This means it is bordering on uncomfortable for me, I sort of wince at the point of insertion, but it's OK if I relax.

The experience itself is fine: you just activate the vibrations and the lights prior to insertion, and then lie back as it does it's thing. I'm aware of something doing something in my vagina, but it is very subtle. By the time it buzzes to signal that the session is over, I've usually completely acclimatised to the sensation.

I've experienced improvement in my pelvic floor weakness (a sense of heaviness and fullness) while using the Issviva, but I can't say 100% that it's definitely down to this particular device; I have also been using the Perifit (which I bloody love!), lost 2 stone, began using Estriol cream (inserted into my vagina) and built pelvic health awareness into my exercise routine, so I feel like the relief of my symptoms might be due to a little bit of everything.

After using the Issviva for the first week, I did experience a faint bleed in between periods (which are sparse anyway as I'm perimenopausal), so I took a break before starting again. This has happened one more time since, and I took another break before resuming.

I have also had two bouts of thrush in the last 6 months, which is sort of the time since I began to use both the Issviva and the Perifit. I'm not sure it's down to those devices, seeing as I am meticulous about hygiene (it is very easy to clean, luckily), but it's meant that I have discontinued use while treating the thrush.

So, not a conclusive endorsement, a couple of question marks and some patchy use, but overall, I'm glad I bought the Issviva and will continue to use it.

RobinStrike · 05/02/2026 17:44

@EveSixthanks so much for the update and the info on Perifit. Do you think Perifit is better? I’ve been looking at that too. I have a prolapse and would really like something that would strengthen my pelvic muscles.
im glad things are improving for you, despite the thrush!

EveSix · 05/02/2026 20:35

@RobinStrike For me, Perifit has been brilliant. It's fun, takes very little time, and the best bit is that it is bio-responsive (?) -it allows you to see how your musculature is working in real time as the device's sensors respond to the pressure you exert on the inserted Perifit 'bean'.

There is a big emphasis on learning to relax the pelvic floor, as an overly tight pelvic floor is likely to cause problems too. It hadn't occurred to me that my problem might be a chronically tense pelvic floor, but since working with the Perifit I've seen how I struggle to release the muculature leading to tired, unresponsive muscles, and having worked on it, I'm now much more conscious of it, and it is paying dividends.

As well as the games, there are lots of opportunities for 'training' in the Perifit 'lab' which is a part of the app where you can do exercises 'out of game', and just watch as the sensors respond to your squeezes, and allows you to sense which kinds of sensations equate to quality contractions, and which are just more general abdominal squeezes etc.

The app's 'voice' is upbeat and encouraging, making it feel as if you're doing great which is so needed, especially when struggling with pelvic floor weakness. At the start of every training session, the device calibrates the sensors based on a series of warm-up squeezes, so your progress is being dynamically assessed at every stage and the programme tailored accordingly.

I really recommend it.

RobinStrike · 05/02/2026 20:41

@EveSixthat sounds brilliant! Just what I need. Thanks again for taking the time to review it.

EveSix · 05/02/2026 22:23

Enjoy!
