Peri menopausal: what supplements to take?

My blood tests are saying I'm peri menopausal. I think I'm having some brain fog/lower libido/anxiety as a result but I've always had some sort of anxiety so I'm not sure it's linked. I thought id give some supplements a try but can anyone recommend any? I'm late 40s

The OBGYN menopause specialist on TikTok is worth a follow. She has lots of excellent advice. Magnesium L Threonate is always recommended, I don’t do the collagen or fibre and I’m already on prescription Vit D, but she has many videos on things to help peri/menopausal symptoms.

This is the magnesium I use, I haven’t found any others to be helpful

At 48/49, it's worth considering HRT because you are bound to be peri menopausal.

I'd also focus on advice from UK doctors because the US has a very different approach to menopause, they use different types of HRT, and their qualifications don't always mean the same as they do in the UK.

If you want to read evidence based info on alternatives, this is one source by the British Menopause Society.

Hi , you can always ask you GP if you can start HRT or maybe some vitamins. I have read that a majority of women take Vit D and Fish oil, Omega 3. Yes, also magnesium can be added too. Check the dosage and do not go over the limit, this can change your blood test levels.
There are many brands out there, I'm not sure what to recommend, just in case you have allergy or sensitive to certain hidden ingredients in some peri/menopause supplements. I hope others can help too.

With your symptoms HRT is definitely the way to go. It's the correct 'supplement'. Anything else is tinkering at the edges.
