In what way did HRT not agree with you? There are a lot of types and perhaps you need to try a different one?

Veozah might be an option for you (non hormonal and works on the hot flush mechanism more directly). Exercise and good sleep hygiene can help with the insomnia side of things.

I would also say our hormonal needs change and if it's been a while since you tried HRT it might be worth trying again, as there are many different forms and you might be able to find something helpful.

I found a wool duvet useful for regulating body temperature.

I wuold agree with @WhatNext24 - the gel didn't agree with me at all, and I was allergic to one of the patches, well the glue at least. Second brand of patch is great.

For the hot flushes cut out caffeine, alcohol and sugar as much as possible . 2 magnesium glycinate every night before bed, brilliant for a good nights sleep. Might take a week or two to kick in. Wool duvet and cotton sheets.I used to put a top sheet under duvet so could still have a light covering if duvet too much. Can get cotton sheets that feel cooler than others. Good luck!

Sage complex worked for me but took about 3 months to kick in.

Take a walk in the evening. Seriously if I didnt walk in the evenings my hot flushes got the better of me. Walking, and I slept and the flushes became inconsequential A mile brisk walk, of if you live in a city, twice around the block, walk fast enough to be slightly out of puff. I did try to get out every day but lets face it, in the winter its not happening but as long as I went 3 or 4 times a week, the flushes eased off
