Does anyone know of a good FB group for surgical meno, no HRT and living with cancer.

I've hit rock bottom with exhaustion anxiety and bladder issues. Soon i won't be able to work from tiredness and I've had enough.

Sorry you are struggling. Have you looked on Hystersisters? There should be support on there.

Thanks 🙂
I was a member of that group after my Hysterectomy. Now I just don't know what to do.

Sorry you're feeling low OP. I'm a member of Surgical Menopause (No HRT) on FB. It is quite US oriented but does contain some useful advice. Hysterectomy Sisters UK is also another group. There are quite a few cancer patients on there and I found it a good source of support.

I don't have any experience of this personally but I know there's a lot of symptomatic relief available. Eg there are lots of non hormonal medications that the doctor can prescribe for hot flushes, anxiety, bladder issues as well as lots of adjunctive therapy like physio, pelvic floor devices etc. hopefully someone with more knowledge will come on and help.

Sorry you're feeling so rotten.

I take multi-vtamins, calcium and cod-liver oil. I try to adjust things so I don't get overheated, e.g. never have heating on overnight and use a low-tog duvet with extra blanket that I can easily kick off.

It has got better over the years; it peaked 6-8 months after my hysterectomy, stayed on a level for a while and then began to taper. The worst thing is the tiredness and weight gain, seeming impossibility of losing weight even when dieting/exercising.

I feel better on a low carb, unprocessed diet but don't always have the willpower to stick to it. Also avoiding alcohol - though similar willpower issues sometimes - it makes me feel so awful the next day.

I think it's about trying different things in terms of supplements, diet and lifestyle, and knowing what helps and what exacerbates your symptoms.

ETA also cutting out caffeine was a big help with sleeping.

@Sethera thanks for sharing.
I've spent a small fortune on supplements and oncology have prescribed oxybutinin for my overactive bladder. Sleep is my biggest issue ( or lack of it) abd these weird internal body tremors early morning, with heart palpitations. They are horrid.

I just feel so drained of life. Having the worry of this damm cancer, is the icing on the cake!
